Hello, I’m Karina, Founder of this website. Ze Square is a Healthy Lifestyle, Inspirational & Cultural platform that aims at encouraging women to enrich their mind, strengthen their body and reach their highest potential both personally and professionally, to ultimately be healthier, more confident and happier than ever. We provide insightful information on topics that we believe will educate and empower women such as fitness, nutrition, health, travel, wellness, inspiration, fashion, beauty and culture. FROM SEDENTARY AND UNHEALTHY TO ACTIVE, HEALTHY & HAPPIER THAN EVER

Growing up, I never knew what healthy eating meant. No one had ever forced me to eat my veggies, consume more fruits or meat, allo of which I absolutely loathed. In fact, eating abundantly was highly encouraged by my Mediterranean family, as that’s what was actually considered healthy. Given what I just mentioned, you won’t be surprised to read that there were multiple cases of obesity and type 2 diabetes in my family. Although I have never been obese myself, I was a little chubby in my teenage years, was sedentary, very insecure and self-conscious. When I decided to lose weight in my early twenties, I didn’t want to make the effort to exercise, so I thought I’d focus on going on a diet and did the worse thing someone can do: eat smaller portions of what I would usually eat, which, needless to say, was void of any vital nutrients for my health. I grew anemic, suffered from a severe hair loss, then stopped dieting, and gained more weight.

Four years ago, I made the firm decision to invest in my health and to do it the right way. So I started exercising and educated myself on the topics of nutrition and fitness and since then, my entire life has changed. I am active, healthy and have more energy than ever.

A healthy lifestyle doesn’t only imply being physically healthy. It also means healthy and happy mind and soul. Changing lifestyle doesn’t necessarily make someone truly happier. True happiness radiates from deep within, not just from the way you look. That’s why my blog is dedicated to not only helping you live a healthier lifestyle, but also to guide you toward becoming more fulfilled in all departments of your life.

It’s my mission now to help people like YOU to realize YOUR dreams to be healthier, stronger, and happier, the same way I was able to fulfill mine several years ago.
