One of our favorite stops while in Quebec City, whether for breakfast or for a quick afternoon treat, is always Paillard. Located in Rue Saint Jean, this place is the closest thing to heaven for French pastries, cakes, sandwiches, ice cream and coffee lovers. Lucky for us, we love it all and the decision making process is always the hardest at Paillard because… We also want it all. I must say, they do a pretty good job at sparking customers’ desires with their mouth watering and colorful cakes and pastries window display.
Our go-to breakfast choice is always a bowl of latté, the croissant, eggs, ham and cheese sandwich that comes with fresh cut fruits; and the ciabatta sandwich with mushroom eggs, bacon, cheese and a cup of fresh fruits.
It is particularly enjoyable to sit in front of the glass window and watch people pass by in what could be the busiest street of Quebec City.
The place is always busy, as you can tell!
