We had just come back from our month-long road trip from Montreal to Western Canada. The summer vacations were about to come to an end and it was almost time to go back to our normal lives again. So we decided to take a couple days off to retreat in Charlevoix, the most magnificent region in Quebec and my personal favorite place to go to to unplug, relax and fully enjoy every second of life with my husband.
Hébergement Charlevoix arranged a stay for us at a drop dead gorgeous cottage, Villa Expo Reno. What a breathtaking property it is! The architecture is incredible, the interior design looked like it came straight out of a magazine and the size of the house is out of this world. We loved that it was fully equipped: Free local phone calls, 3 LED HD flat screen TVs (36″, 42″ and 55″), Dolby 5.1 home theatre system, multi player (DVD, Blue Ray, CD Audio, MP3), fully equipped kitchen (cookware, dishes, ustensils, glassware), cleaning products provided for the whole stay, sanitary paper supplied for the beginning of the stay, bedding and towels provided, indoor gas fireplace, washing and drying machines, dishwasher, microwave, cable TV, DVD sound system, wireless Internet access, air conditioning and heating supplied by a heat pump, full kitchen (dishwasher, refrigerator, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, blender, fondue skillet, raclette stove, etc), books, CDs and DVDs, board games and puzzles, 4 hairdryers, iron and ironing board, child booster seat, private entrance and parking, small portable CD player with MP3 and ipod station, patio furniture, gas BBQ (summer only).
The house is absolutely ideal for families (with and without children) and groups of friends. With four rooms, it can host up to 10 people and guarantees an exceptional stay filled with fun (there is an amazing play room with a pool table and babyfoot downstairs) and relaxation. We loved the four season outdoor spa (8 seats), that offered a spectacular view of the Saint Lawrence River and Baie St-Paul. The gas fireplace on both the terrace and living room was genius, as it enabled us to have our coffee on the patio with a stunning view on a chilly morning, which was a fantastic way to start our day.
The villa is ideally located at a five minute drive from Baie St-Paul and at a 20-minute drive from Le Massif alpine ski centre. We highly recommend staying at this cottage if you plan on visiting the region soon. Here is how to rent it, via Hébergement Charlevoix.
