Fashion Week Couture Spring Summer 2017 Review

The Couture Fashion Week is always an opportunity for designers to let their creativity run free and design the most sumptuous, extravagant pieces of clothing, or should we say works of art, one can imagine.

This year, we strongly believe Elie Saab owned and overshadowed all other designers at the Spring/Summer 2017 Couture fashion week with dresses that seemed to have come straight out of a fairytale: nude colors; sheer fabrics thoughtfully, delicately, artistically scattered with jewelry. We simply fell utterly in love and here are some photos.

Another designer’s entire collection also made a strong impression on us: Alexandre Vauthier’s. It slightly reminded us of Christophe Decarnin (whose genius and talent we adored)’s last collections for Balmain, mixed with Valentino’s fall/winter 2017 pieces, but with Vauthier’s personal touch.
