Feelin’ Blue

 I’ll never get enough of this picturesque view.

Oh, beautiful Barcelona, I’ve fallen in love with you.
Your sandy beaches, your vibrant, yet relaxing energy has wrapped me with bliss and inner-peace for five months. Like I belong here. I fit in with your people, whose warmth and laid back attitude match my personality.
Your perfect blend of old and modern architecture,  that I could tirelessly stare at for hours, with Gaudi’s jaw-dropping work of genius marked all over the city.
Your inhabitants coming from all over the world and all walks of life make every encounter so rich and unique.
The South American influence in some bars, restaurants, in the music made me fall deeper in love.

When I am far away from here, in the freezing cold, I will remember the hot summer nights spent dancing to Reggaeton hits as if it was my last day on earth and laughing ’til my tummy hurt with the amazing people I have met here, to keep me warm. *long sigh*

My heart shrinks at the thought of leaving. In a month. Oh my God NOOOO!! It’s crazy how time flies. 5 months went by in a blink of an eye.

It has been a memorable journey, an incredibly fun one that has exceeded all my expectations. We created unforgettable memories, met beautiful souls and hopefully, tied unbreakable bonds.

I’ll miss you dearly.

I would like to be able to freeze time so I could enjoy some more, but I will just keep in mind what my flatmate told me: Somehow, one always finds their way back to Barcelona.

And on that note, I am going to bed.
