Quebec City Hotels – Hilton QC

Have you ever visited Quebec City? If not, I highly recommend you add it to your bucket list and be prepared to be amazed by its beauty. I’ve traveled quite a bit over the past few years; seen some of the most beautiful and praised cities in the world; but to this day, nothing beats Quebec City’s captivating charm; not even my beloved Barcelona.

My husband and I frequently go to Quebec City; and I thought I’d seen it all when it came to this town; I believed that although I inevitably felt hearts and stars in my eyes whenever we’d stroll around the City, I had been there so often that I had reached the point where I could just appreciate the town’s beauty and not be surprised by it anymore… but boy, was I wrong.

We stayed at the Hilton in Quebec City a few weeks ago, in a mesmerizing suite with an unrivaled view of the City-Museum that made me fall deeper in love with Quebec City, which I never thought could even be possible. The weather was cloudy, rainy and snowy all at the same time, but not even Mother Nature’s vagaries seemed to alter the town’s beauty: not seen from the huge glass windows of our 16th-floor suite anyway.

Our stay at the Hilton was all sorts of perfect. Firstly because our suite was unbeatable; secondly because I was utterly amazed by the hotel’s employees’ incredibly positive, cheerful, enthusiastic and contagious energy that will turn anyone’s bad day into a fantastic one in no time. They welcome you with the brightest smiles, kindest words and will serve you with the same joyful attitude while always remaining extremely professional. And we’ve seen it on numerous occasions, from the valet, the room service and the staff at the bar/restaurant. So I guess it’s safe to say that all employees are equally as great.
Thirdly, the hotel’s amenities are a dream: on the third floor of the hotel can be found a huge exterior swimming pool that is heated all year round with a nice view of the city, a fully equipped gym opened 24 hours with a view on the pool, sauna and massage services.

We have not had the chance to try the hotel’s restaurant Allegro, but we did go to the bar for a drink at happy hour: when I asked the waiter whether they had a cocktail menu he replied “just ask us anything you want and we’ll do it for you.” Well hey, if that’s not perfection, then I don’t know what is! Of course I went for a Margarita that was delicious, while my husband opted for a good ol’ beer. We also had homemade warm potato chips with a delectable (homemade) creamy dipping that came with it. Allegro restaurant is located on the ground floor, but there is another restaurant in the hotel: Restaurant 23, that is on the 23rd floor of the hotel and offers a spectacular view of the City.

The cherry on top? The hotel is ideally located in the heart of the City, just steps away from the Old Town, 20 minutes away from the airport, near all the tourist attractions and festivals. I strongly believe the hotel is ideal for all types of stays: romantic getaways, business trips or family vacations.

Continental breakfast is included with reservations.
