Vancouver Best Hotels – The St-Regis Hotel

After a couple days camping in the breathtaking Canadian Rockies, we finally made it to one of my all time favorite cities in Canada: Vancouver. We were greeted by an ever so kind front desk agent at the historic St-Régis hotel, that checked us in and gave us the key to our suite. We immediately fell in love with the boutique hotel and of our art déco-inspired room in particular. The bathroom was to die for: huge mirrors and enough space for at least two people to get ready together (which is not always the case in hotels) and was immensely appreciated;  the bed and bedding were so comfortable it felt like floating on a cloud (it took everything in me to roll out of bed in the morning); did I mention there were two chocolates with the hotel’s logo on each side of the bed? What a thoughtful attention! The separate living room was really cozy and perfect to relax before going to dinner or after a night out. The St-Régis stands in an updated 1913 building, which gives it a unique architectural edge that most hotels in the City don’t possess.  It is ideally located downtown, within walking distance to amazing restaurants, bars, cafés, shops, tourist attractions and public transports.

We had the pleasure to try the hotel’s Bar And Grill too. To kick off the festivities, we started with cocktails and beer. My margarita was excellent and my husband was happy with his choice of beer. We then ordered spicy chicken wings and potato skins to share; both dishes were absolutely exquisite. Our mains arrived and I had a pizza, while my husband ordered chicken and fries, before finishing our dinner off by sharing a warm cookie topped with ice cream and warm chocolate, which was the highlight of my night, as I have a sweet tooth and it tasted above and beyond divine.

Complimentary breakfast is included with reservations, which was great; we were in the mood for a simple American breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, toasts, coffee and juices; but there were fancier options, such as Eggs Benedicts, for instance.

We were extremely happy with the hotel’s customer service. All employees were incredibly kind and helpful. I highly recommend this Vancouver hotel and would definitely stay there again if the opportunity presented itself again.
