Our Phenomenal Trip To Toronto – Where We Stayed, Where We Ate & What We Did

I had been longing to go back to Toronto since I moved to Montreal back in 2015 but for some reason, we never got around to materialize it. Usually in the summertime, my husband and I go on month-long road trips to Western Canada or to the Southwestern U.S. but this year, since I’m working in the corporate world, I could not go on vacation for four weeks so instead, my plan was to organize weekend getaways as often as possible. One of the weekends consisted of visiting Toronto. I was so excited to return. I completed the final year of my Master’s Degree in Hamilton, Ontario, as part of an exchange program with my University in France, and since it’s the most boring town of ALL times, I would go to Toronto whenever I could. And so I fell in love with Toronto. I remember finding Torontonians so respectful, so kind, I loved seeing how diversity was accepted and actually celebrated. I remember going to my first NBA game. I was heading to the bus station to go back to Hamilton when I saw a lot of people gathering around what I found out in the ensuing minutes, was the arena where the Raptors were about to play. I got so hyped I purchased a ticket and attended the game all by myself, purchased a glass of beer and had a BLAST.
In the spring of that year, Love made me move to Montreal. 😊 And I’ve been wanting to return ever since. So here is what we did, where we went and where we ate in Toronto:

Where we stayed:

At the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, which is the epitome of refinement and luxury. Our stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto was all sorts of fabulous. We loved breakfast at Café Boulud, the chic and trendy d|bar, the gorgeous room, the perfect service, the indoor pool with exterior intimate area to relax on long chairs, the location in my favorite part of town: Yorkville.

What we did:

We discovered Yorkville, which is an area of town I had never explored. I loved the streets, the shops, the countless cafés and restaurants.
We went to Niagara Falls. It was beautiful BUT, if you’re not willing to waste three hours in traffic from Toronto, do NOT try to go there.
We lounged in our hotel!
I attended a Google event for work, which was incredibly inspiring.

Where we ate:

Blu Ristorante, an Italian restaurant located close to our hotel. The atmosphere there was festive and romantic at the same time, the food was to die for and the décor was really charming.

Freshii, a healthy fast food. We grabbed delicious salads to go. One of the things I love about Toronto is the healthy food options everywhere in town.
