Leaving Montreal and heading to the hotel in the BMW X5 45e, the hybrid vehicle of my dreams. This is THE most comfortable car ever.
As an Entrepreneur, I am either working 24/7, or thinking about work 24/7. When the opportunity presented itself to spend a night at the Fairmont Le Château Montebello, I seized it right away. I knew I would still have to get a lot of work done while at the hotel, as I was preparing Black Friday (which was right around the corner) with one of my clients from my Digital Marketing Services company, but I thought working from such a lovely place as the Fairmont Le Château Montebello would be a dream… and I was so right.
The hotel is one of the largest wood log in the world. We arrived just in time to enjoy the full magic of the Christmas decorations, which combined with the wood furniture and warm colors, contributed to create a rustic-chic atmosphere that is so pleasant to disconnect for our daily hustle, the stress, and all that may . The Fairmont Le Château Montebello, which celebrated its 90th year in 2020, truly is a haven of peace that invites to relaxation and pleasure.
I particularly loved the gym, where I was able to complete 30 minutes of cardio before we left the next day. Had we stayed a little longer, we would have probably enjoyed the phenomenal pool and I would have definitely had a massage at the spa. The hotel a wide array of activities for every season that would have been so fun to try, like the interior tennis court, the indoor skating rink, horse-drawn sleigh, dogsledding, snowshoeing, tube sliding and more!
The evening of our arrival, we had dinner at the restaurant of the hotel. I had had a heavy workout session that day and did not want to eat unhealthy and luck for me, there was a huge and insanely delicious Caesar Salad in the menu. I have to say I had never eaten such a tender chicken breast. It was an absolute delight. My husband and I spent the rest of the evening savouring a glass of wine, comfortably curled up in a sofa placed in front of one the six huge fire places that punctuate the hotel’s bar. SO dreamy!
I was really impressed (and frankly, reassured) by how often employees would clean up common areas and the presence of disinfecting gel, in all key parts of the hotel. All sanitary measures are taken and thoroughly applied to guarantee clients’ safety. Clients’ temperature is actually taken upon their arrival at the hotel.
I highly recommend this hotel for a getaway with your family, girlfriends or significant other. Fun and relaxing times guaranteed!
There were charging stations at the hotel, so we were able to charge the vehicle.
And we were back in Montreal, fully recharged!
