This summer, my brother, his wife and my three nieces came to visit us (my husband and I) for the first time since I settled in Quebec. For the occasion, we had prepared an amazing itinerary that would enable them to discover some of the most beautiful places our Province has to offer in three weeks and behind the wheel of our superb 2019 Jeep Cherokee, which was the ideal vehicle for our trip: spacious, very comfortable, equipped with a high performing GPS and a fantastic sound system.

Everything started in Montreal, where they arrived and where we had them explore our city. We then headed to Quebec City, where we stayed six days, as there are so many things to do in and around town: a car ride at the Island of Orléans is always a must whenever we stay in Quebec City, doesn’t matter the season, and during the summertime, a stop at the Gosselin farm to purchase a box of the most delicious strawberries to devour while sitting in front of the magnificent St. Lawrence River has now become a ritual that I was so happy to share with my family; wandering around Old Town Quebec City never fails to amaze; the countless hiking trails around town and the impressive Montmorency Falls.

Our next destination was Charlevoix. I’ve already expressed on numerous occasions my love for this enchanting region, where I dream of possessing a cottage one day. You can only imagine how thrilled I was to have my family discover it! All the more reason that our stay coincided with the Perseids (meteor shower) that we gazed at around a campfire two nights in a row which made for the absolute dream! We visited L’Isle-aux-Coudres and hiked up the Mont du Lac Des Cygnes that offered a spectacular panoramic view. The mountain road leading to the Parc Des Grands Jardin is simply gorgeous.

Then came the time to make the Turbo 2.0L motor of our Jeep Cherokee growl, while listening to Country music on Sirius XM in the excellent sound system of the vehicle, in direction of Tadoussac. But before, a stop by splendid Port-au-Persil was a must.

Historically, Tadoussac was a place where Native Americans would exchange furs against tobacco, corn, tools, etc. They would also hunt and fish. Tadoussac is a very touristic destination in the summertime. Not surprising, since the village is a part of the Association of the Quebec’s most beautiful villages and the bay of Tadoussac is listed among the world’s most beautiful bays. The village offers a breathtaking view on the Saguenay Fjord. We were lucky enough to see whales. It was my first time seeing them and I was extatic! During our stay in Tadoussac we drove all the way to L’Anse-de-Roches, which is one of the last beautiful places I’ve ever seen. then we packed our bags and headed back to Montreal, our hearts and minds filled memories we will forever cherish.

A huge thanks to Jeep Canada for letting us try the 2019 Jeep Cherokee for our unforgettable summer adventures that were all the more amazing thanks to the vehicle.
