We had dinner there on the second night of our stay in Victoria and had an exceptional experience. First, our table was indoors, close to the window from which we could enjoy the view of the port as the sun was setting, thus painting the landscape with the most beautiful tone of orange. We kicked off the festivities with drinks. As always, I went with an excellent Margarita (so good I ordered two more!), while my husband chose a craft beer from a Victoria microbrewery (Phillips) and he was extremely impressed.
For starters, my husband had succulent Oysters and I ordered divine crab ravioli. My plate was made of two huge raviolis, generously stuffed with the tastiest lemon-flavoured crab. Then we went with fantastic pan seared crab cakes, steamed live Dungeness crab and a vanilla brûlée cheesecake for dessert. This is my first summer ever eating so much seafood everywhere we went, and I loved discovering the Chefs’ talent at every restaurant from Gaspésie to Toronto and Victoria. We had a phenomenal night at Finn’s, in the most delightful atmosphere. Service was truly impeccable. From the young ladies who greeted us at the entrance of the restaurant and escorted us at our table, to our server, who was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and very professional. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Victoria. Your taste buds will thank you!
