Victoria, BC, Best Hotels – Our Exceptional Stay At The Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe

The Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe was the perfect hotel to explore the town. We spent two incredible nights there and loved every minute of our stay.

Located in the heart of Victoria, close to some of the town’s very best restaurants and most sought for attractions, the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort & Spa offers everything a tourist needs to fully unplug from real life and feel relaxed. From the rooms and multiple terraces of one of the best hotels in Victoria, Canada, with an incomparable view of Victoria, you can always find an intimate area to enjoy the view with your loved ones. This is something that I found particularly interesting given the size of the hotel and the number of guests during peak seasons. Although the resort is huge, you can, if you want to, feel like you’re alone.

The Lounge Club is a great option that offers delicious breakfast and equally as succulent hors d’oeuvres toward the end of the afternoon. The lounge club is luminous, comfortable (great for rainy days) and also has a private terrace to enjoy your meals when the sun shines.

Our room was phenomenal, with a breathtaking view of the port. Just to elaborate on the points we loved about the room in addition to it being beautiful and very comfy: the plugs on both sides of the beds. Believe it or not, not all hotels have this. So, the connected people like us who like to charge their phone on their bedside can’t always do that in many hotels).

On the sixth floor, the corridor leads to a terrace on which we found a box full of Yoga mats and sofas covered from the sun so you can enjoy the nice weather without burning.

We sat there at night too and enjoyed the most beautiful landscape.

The interior salty-water pool with floor to ceiling glass windows offers a view on yet another terrace, with long chairs. Close to the pool, there is the brand-new gym, with fantastic equipment. After overindulging for a couple days and not being very active I ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes, while my husband used the elliptical bike.

Had I had more time, I would have had a full treatment at the spa that was incredibly relaxing (I only visited it): massage, manicure, pedicure and facial. The spa at the Delta is one of the best in town, so definitely book a treatment there, whether you plan on staying at the hotel or just visit Victoria.

The hotel’s restaurant has a terrace that is super popular for Happy Hour, as it is the terrace where the sun shines the longest in Victoria. And for chillier days, the place is heated. We had excellent drinks there, before heading to the Lounge Club for snacks.

My husband and I usually are very active when we’re on vacation. We like hiking, walking for hours to discover the city but there was so much to do at the hotel that we literally stayed at the hotel the whole time and just RELAXED. The two things we did during our stay at the Delta Victoria Ocean Pointe, was going to the restaurant the first day, grabbing a pizza for dinner on the second day and eating in our room, facing the view, and going to the beach for an hour. The rest of the time was spent in the hotel!

Two last things I would like mention before concluding this article: the tennis court, the bikes and the squash court. There are rackets, balls, and bikes that the hotel provides for guests to stay active, which I thought was SO COOL!

In the hallway, there are local artists that expose their works and sometimes even paint them and interact with guests. To keep on the local signature of the hotel, the food that is served at the restaurant is made with locally grown vegetables.

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to discover downtown Victoria. We adored our stay!
